Act Now to Ask the House to Appropriate All of the Sadowski State and Local Housing Trust Funds for Affordable Housing
The House and Senate have adopted their respective budgets. We greatly appreciate the Senate for a budget that uses all of the $317 million dollars in the housing trust funds for Florida’s housing programs and urge the House to do the same. We have prepared SHIP distributions based on the Senate proposal (full funding) and the House proposal (huge sweep of trust funds to General Revenue). These charts demonstrate the dramatic impact the House proposal will have on affordable housing in Florida. Please join us with meeting with, writing and calling your individual legislators to explain the devastating effect this will have our state’s working poor and ask for their support.
